The Toyota Avanza (Japanese: トヨタ アバンザ Toyota Abanza) is a mini MPV Made by Daihatsu and Promoted by Toyota.
As well as contract constructed in Malaysia (under Perodua) for the first production. Daihatsu developed and designed the car, which is later sold by both Daihatsu and Toyota beneath Xenia and Avanza title plate respectively.

The car was unveiled at the Gaikindo Auto Expo in July 2003, and started in December 2003 and sold over 100,000 units annually.
The title “Avanza” was taken from the Italian term “avanzato”, which means “progress”.
Its spiritual predecessor was the Kijang, whose version program has since been divided to two unique versions (the other being the bigger, more expensive Kijang Innova) to enlarge Toyota’s reach in the MPV sector.
The Avanza has like the Kijang’s rural road-capable, rear-wheel drive, body-on-frame design. Along with Indonesia and Malaysia, the Avanza is sold in Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Middle East, Mexico, Caribbean, Egypt, and various other African states.

A rebadged version of the vehicle was sold in China under the FAW badge till 2010.
As of October 2011, there were 1 million Avanza/Xenia units offered, including 113,000 exported units. Toyota Avanza Engine oil volume is 3.0L complete. Automatic transmission oil is 4.6Liter.
In Malaysia, the Avanza is offered in certain versions: 1.5 G, 1.5 S in automatic transmission, along with 1.5 E and 1.3 E in the manual and automatic transmission.
It sports a 1.3-liter K3-DE EFI petrol inline-four motor using a maximum output of 86 PS (63 kW; 85 hp) at 6,000 rpm (before 2006). a 1.3-liter K3-VE VVT-i gas engine which generates 92 PS (68 kW; 91 hp) at 6,000 rpm, plus a 1.5-liter 3SZ-VE gas engine which generates 104 PS (76 kW; 103 hp) at 6,000 rpm. In other markets, the Avanza also supplied using a 1.4-liter 1ND-TV diesel engine which generates 90 PS (66 kW; 89 hp) at 3,800 rpm.

In 2015, the Avanza contains two new motors, is made up of 1.3-liter 1NR-VE Double VVT-i gas engine which generates 97 PS (71 kW; 96 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 1.5-liter 2NR-VE Double VVT-i gas engine which generates 104 PS (76 kW; 103 hp) at 6,000 rpm.
Its engine codes utilize -VE suffix rather than -FE since both motors can also be utilized in Daihatsu cars.
